Gold Cowrie Shell Charm Hoops
Cowrie Shells have many different meanings. Because of their shape, they can be viewed as symbols of womanhood, fertility, birth, therefore, these are also known as elixir or giver of life which is why wearing a Cowrie Shell jewelry is always a good idea Beyond its feminine ties, the cowrie shell also represents prosperity. This shell was used as a form of currency in parts of Africa and has since been regarded as a symbol of prosperity. According to some African legends, Cowrie Shells represent the goddess of protection who was highly powerful and is connected with the strength and power of the Ocean. This Cowrie shell inparticular was cast from a shell gifted to me as a good luck token when we moved into our first home. 5mm jumprings attached to the top to thread onto the charm hoops. The charm hoops have a small ball on the end to act as a stopped so your charms will not fall off. Cast in recycled silver and plated with 18ct Yellow Gold. Each item is handmade and packaged in a small grey velvet pouch that can be used to polish your jewellery when needed and posted completely plastic free.
