Well I must say it was a joy to get back into the swing of things towards the end of March, with my first two markets of the year. It bought a final sense of momentum and a point of focus which was beginning to be much needed. It felt great to be back out there in the wild, chatting to people and seeing some familiar faces also, however I must admit the monumental market set up and pack down was not at all missed. I feel a real sense of pride in my work seeing it all laid out and displayed at a market.
Whats Been Happening?

Along with the markets of march, some steady movement was made in preparations for the Burnham Art Trail, I've had my studio allocation, started designing the first sets of waxes for the new collection and most exciting at the moment set a date and time for my first ever workshop. I'm busy at the moment making sure I have enough equipment for each person along with an instruction booklet too and examples to work from. I will release more information on that and how to book as soon as the event details are live on the Art trail website, hopefully it'll be a success and encourage me to organise a few more later in the year which is something I'd really like to do especially on the lead up to Christmas.

Along with market and art trail prep I have also been working on some commissions, and feel very privileged to have been commissioned to make a pair of wedding rings for a set of good friends. I'm very excited to show you the finished pieces along with the beautiful wooden box I sourced for them. A couple of the commissions most recently have been quite different from my usual style which has been an interesting challenge to work on. One of which had me really challenge myself in doing a channel setting of 12 black diamonds, which was fiderly to say the least! Another piece had me recreate my popular whale tail necklace into a set on dangle earrings, which had me questioning why I hadnt created them before now!
I have space for a few bespoke pieces to be ready beginning of May, if you are interested is something bespoke do get in touch.
What's Happening This Month?

Now we enter April. As a family April is awash with almost everyones birthdays its seems, so its a busy month personally. Most importantly we open the month with Aurora's 3rd birthday and then close the month with Rafferty's 5th Birthday! I left March thinking I didn't have any markets planned, but my analog calendar reminded me that I do have Lavenham Farmers market at the end of the month on the 26th when I flipped the page over from March. And also I have also been invited back as the guest jeweller for Burnham's Alternative Market on the 19th. It'll be lovely to return to Lavenham which was a beautiful market to attend last year and to be back at Burnham as well as its literally down the road meaning I should be able to sneak a little lie in still on that Sunday.
What's New?
My new Fingerprint Keepsake Kit lets you take a fingerprint at home using a safe jewellers wax to capture a tiny moment that means so much like a child’s fingerprint, a loved one’s, or even your own to give as a gift to someone else. It's flexible so you can take the print now and decide later if you’d like me to turn it into a piece of silver or 9ct gold necklace, or pay for the casting at the same time. Each kit comes with pre-weighed wax, a metal tin to store your print, an instruction booklet, order form and pre-paid postage label to send the print back to me.
