18ct Yellow Gold Plated Recycled Sterling Silver
Gold Anchors Away Necklace
Anchors are traditionally associated with the sea, however are also used to represent hope and steadfastness. It is symbolic of hope in how when lifted up from the water of a port, it represents a new adventure, a new voyage, for many, this metaphor is symbolic of our feelings when they leave a stagnant part of their life and set sail on a new journey. It's also metaphorical of how an Anchor holds a ship steady out at sea. It indicates we will not sway during the chaos or hysteria that may surround us, regardless of how uncertain things may seem. This Anchor pendant has been handcarved in wax and cast in recycled silver then plated with 18ct Yellow Gold. Attched to a thicker chain as a nod to its nautical inspiration, it can be worn one 3 different chain lengths, 18" 22" or 34" and fastened with a 5mm bolt ring. We like to layer ours up with other necklaces from the ocean insipred collection. Each item is handmade and packaged in a small grey velvet pouch that can be used to polish your jewellery when needed and posted completely plastic free.
